WATER DESIGN PROJECTS

Proper water main design plays a vital role in the development of DeKalb's infrastructure.  Pipe routing, sizing, and site design are all integral parts of the design process.  The GPS / GIS / Data Management Department works closely with the Georgia D.O.T., Private Development, Contractors, and our own Construction and Maintenance division to ensure that DeKalb's potable water system continues to be one of the finest in Georgia.  The GPS / GIS / Data Management team often completes pre and post construction surveys to more accurately design and maintain the integrity of the water system as well as our own GIS records.
