In 2012, a series of meetings were held in the general area of South River, South Fork Peachtree Creek, and Snapfinger Creek to receive input and comments from the public regarding planned cleanups.
DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management staff hosted these meetings to present a brief overview of the SEP. Citizens were able to view basin maps, and provided specific information on locations of stream and bank impairments in their neighborhood. Consultants also walked the aforementioned basins to locate and quantify debris. DeKalb County plans to hire contractors in 2013 to begin work on the SEP.
