The flow monitoring program and the modeling program, although two
separate projects, go hand-in-hand to enable DeKalb County plan for
future growth and find areas that need rehabilitation in order to
eliminate sanitary sewer overflows.
There are over 70,000 manholes in DeKalb County. To determine the
condition of the manholes and sewer lines, in-depth inspections are
completed and in order to preserve and/or improve the condition of
the county’s manholes, it is necessary to rehabilitate some of
them.

CCTV provides positive and reliable information to what, where, how bad,
and how much it takes to correct, maintain, and prevent problems in a
sewer line.
