The Pipe Bursting Project located at 1940 Flat Shoals Road and Interstate 20 began on April 3, 2007 and will continue on through the end of April. The scope of this project is to increase the capacity of the main pipe line to prevent Sanitary Sewer Overflow (SSO) issues. During the process the increased capacity of the main pipe line will occur when the existing 8-inch sewer pipes are replaced with 12-inch sewer pipes.

The contractor currently working on this pipe bursting project is Portland Utilities Construction Company.
